Young Adult Leaders

I am inspired by the little things, the details, and the subtle hints that God is present. I am usually working on a theory of some kind and am almost always writing about the things that I see, whether it’s on a napkin, on my blog, or with my guitar in hand. Being involved in YA is something that I’ve always called “well timed” – in so many ways, God has spoken to me through this community.

Colin & Evelyn have been led to Australia for a two year term, where Colin is finishing his education. They both quickly became a vital part of our community, each in their own way, and we will miss them until they return!

I have a degree in French from UBC and I currently work for a company called Heli-One as a project manager assistant. I am working towards a degree in business. I am compassionate and have a passion for working with people. I love spending my free time reading and being with Kris.

I am the technical director for the church, as well as a sound & lighting tech in the Vancouver area. I long to equip the church with the tools and technical knowledge they need for outreach to the community and within the church itself. When I am not geeking it up, you can find me on my bike at the jumps or going for walks with my girlfriend Genevieve on the beach.

I've been a part of the Young Adults community for quite awhile. I've played different roles but overall I love "helping". Whether it be helping in the kitchen, doing powerpoint, or planning events, my goal is to serve others and God. When I'm not involved in iMAGE related "stuff", I'm usually working: teaching kids and making drinks at Starbucks. In my free time I enjoy cooking, scrapbooking, going for walks, and most of all laughing with family and friends.

The probability of seeing me behind a camera is very high. One of my greatest joys is taking pictures; any day becomes a great day behind the lense. When not stuck behind a camera, I can usually be found wrenching on bikes, cars, or anything mechanical.

In the last 4 1/2 years, through my involvement at YA, I have been broken, worn out and pushed past any and all pre-conceived "comfort zones"...I have also been blessed beyond measure and cared for in ways I hardly feel worthy of; I have grown immensely in faith and assurance and have experienced all the many joys of being fully immersed and committed to an amazingly supportive, enthusiastic and loving community. This is what we were made for. ...Me in a nutshell? Besides my job as a Special Education Assistant, I have a deep love for singing, writing, travelling, laughing (a lot) and messing around on or in any motorized vehicle I can get my hands on. I am fiercly determined, inately rebellious, and I aspire to fear nothing but my God.
